Pasture Raised Chickens
Currently we are raising White Jumbo Cornish Rock Cross Broilers. They spend the first 2 weeks in our brooder and then are moved to our pasture until they are 8 weeks old. They live in portable floor-less Hoop-Coops providing them with fresh, green pasture everyday (no herbicides, pesticides, or chemical fertilizers on our pasture). They are fed non-medicated, hormone-free, non-GMO (no genetic modification) feed that we purchase directly from a family-operated grain mill in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley. We process all of our birds on the farm in a respectful, orderly, and stress-free way. From day-old chicks to processed broilers; it all happens right here on our farm in order to produce an excellent quality, nutritional, and great tasting chicken.

Our hens are Golden Comets and Plymouth Barred Rocks. We raised them from day-old chicks. They live on the pasture in a portable Skid House surrounded by a netting that allows them to free-range in a section of pasture. The entire netting is moved about every 4 days. They are free to roam and forage while the fencing protects them from predators. They are fed a similar all-natural non GMO feed as described for the broilers above. The eggs are brown with dark orange yolks and are mostly medium to large.
